Job Description

The Director of Government Pricing & Contracts oversees all pricing calculations, analyses, and submissions required for federal and state government programs. This role manages Government and Commercial contract obligations, ensures accurate and compliant pricing methodologies, and provides monthly reporting, trending, and analysis of government pricing and rebates. The position also supports research, documentation, and submission of mandated product and pricing data across all government programs.Calculate, analyze, validate, and submit government pricing data (monthly, quarterly, annual) to federal and state agencies.

  • Ensure correct inclusion/exclusion of transactions based on approved pricing methodologies.
  • Perform detailed analysis of sales, chargebacks, service/administrative fees, rebates, and other data elements.
  • Use variance and analytical tools to confirm data accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally to address source‑system data issues before pricing calculations.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly pricing analyses for leadership review.
  • Implement updates to policies, work instructions, and methodologies in response to regulatory or business changes.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance compliance and efficiency.
  • Manage all aspects of quarterly 340B pricing, including AMP and URA analysis, certification, OPA submissions, wholesaler notifications, and audit compliance.
  • Review government pricing data for accuracy and ensure alignment with contract terms.
  • Oversee Medicaid‑related pricing and claims (SPAP, ADAP, Supplemental) by partnering with Contracts & Pricing, Chargebacks, Rebates, Trade Operations, Customer Service, Sales, and Legal to resolve upstream data issues (COT, eligibility, sales data, fees, etc.).

Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
  • MBA preferred (Finance concentration)
  • Experience in pharmaceutical Government Pricing and Medicaid/Medicare
  • 6–8 years of finance, accounting, or public accounting experience (Big 4 preferred).
  • Strong understanding of the Managed Care industry.
  • Advanced analytical skills with high accuracy and compliance focus.
  • Effective cross‑functional communication and collaboration skills.
  • Self‑driven, organized, and able to work independently or in team environments.
  • Strong business acumen, time‑management, and documentation skills, including maintaining detailed pricing assumptions and compliance records.

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position in New Jersey is $190,000 to $210,000, plus a discretionary performance bonus (based upon eligibility). The final salary offered to a successful candidate may vary and will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to: the type and length of experience within the job, the type and length of experience within the industry, skillset, education, business needs, etc. Lupin is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states
