Responsibilities
- Contribute to setting and maintaining a Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB) within the EVMS including configuration control of the PMB through application of Baseline Change Requests.
- Weekly and periodic processing of EVMS data and updates, including reviews for data consistency.
- Producing program performance reports, which could include trend analysis, for various stakeholders.
- Provide coaching and on the job training to stakeholders, including Control Account Managers, to improve their understanding of program performance management techniques. This includes input to training and mentoring Junior Project Controls Specialists.
- Identification of, and participation in, continuous improvement activities as it relates to continual refinement of the program performance management.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of specific plans, procedures, and work instructions such that corporate knowledge is retained.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, science, finance, or engineering.
- PMP certification, leadership training, and/or lean six sigma training are all considered assets.
- 3 to 6 years of experience in a construction or manufacturing environment, or equivalent experience.
- Working knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) and Project Control techniques and systems.
- Working level skills in EVM systems such as EcoSys, Cobra, or other.
- Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning software such as JD Edwards or SAP, and scheduling software such as Primavera P6.
- Advanced skills in MS Office tools especially MS Excel with programming in VBA considered a strong asset.
