Company Description Ecco Ride is a growing student transportation company which is seeking a highly motivated, experienced Financial Analyst II with minimum of 2 years of experience. You’ll report to the Director of Finance and work closely with accounting, operations, and human resources teams. You’ll gain broad exposure in a variety of finance functions. The ideal candidate must have strong analytical thinking capabilities and be able to multitask, and prioritize multiple projects. Ideal candidates will be proactive in financial tracking, forecasting, and escalating to drive and influence the financial health of Ecco Ride.
Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Financial Analyst role based in Appleton, WI. The Financial Analyst will review and interpret financial data, prepare and analyze financial statements, and support budgeting and forecasting activities. Day-to-day responsibilities include building and maintaining financial models, monitoring key performance indicators, and preparing reports and presentations for leadership. The role will also involve evaluating business performance, identifying cost-saving and revenue-enhancing opportunities, and supporting decision-making with clear, data-driven insights.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Build and maintain financial models including trend, bid, budget, and forecast models.
· Analyze revenue, cost, margin trends, and performance drivers.
· Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
· Support budgeting, scenario planning, and strategic planning.
· Present insights and recommendations to senior management.
· Assist with customer invoicing.
· Assist with monthly financial close.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
· 1-3 years of related experience.
· Advanced Microsoft Excel skills working with large data sets using pivot tables and functions to achieve accurate data analysis; macro experience is beneficial.
· Demonstrate ability to translate complex financial information into clear, actionable recommendations.
· Strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
Ability to manage competing priorities, pivoting immediately if necessary, while still meeting deadlines with a high degree of accuracy.
· Being a CPA is not a requirement, but a basic understanding of accounting is.
