What You'll Do
- Financial Analysis: Analyze assigned subsidiaries’ financial data, identify unusual trends, and investigate material variances with root cause analysis and report to supervisor for accurate consolidated financials.
- Intercompany Reconciliations: Execute, resolve & record intercompany eliminations & profit eliminations with moderate supervision accurately, and maintain detailed transaction logs for audit trail purposes.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in consolidation processes and recommend practical improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Consolidation Reporting: Update/prepare consolidation reports timely and accurately. Create ad hoc reports for management when requested.
- Collaboration: Partner with subsidiaries, controllers and finance teams to resolve consolidation issues and improve data quality.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and review work of entry-level consolidation accountants.
- Qtly, Year-end Reporting & Analysis: Perform moderately complicated consolidated reporting including Subsidiaries’ audited financial statement review, gather footnote information and additional questionnaire to parent company with accuracy and timeliness.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field
- Work experience: 3-5 years of consolidation or financial reporting experience
- Licenses and Certifications: CPA or actively pursuing CPA preferred
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work with diverse groups of people
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, work well under pressure, handle multiple projects and manage resources
Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision
Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems
Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.
Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgement.
