Real Estate Finance Associate – Junior to Mid-Level

A nationally recognized law firm with a leading real estate finance practice is seeking a junior to mid-level associate (2–6 years’ experience) to join its expanding team. This opportunity is available in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, or Denver.

Position Overview

The successful candidate will handle a broad range of commercial real estate finance transactions, working with major institutional lenders on loan origination, mezzanine financing, preferred equity investments, and structured deals. The role will include full transaction management from inception through closing and post-closing matters, including experience with asset management, workouts, and repurchase facility transactions.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 2–6 years of large law firm real estate finance experience
• Strong background in loan origination for structured commercial real estate transactions
• Experience with mezzanine loans, preferred equity, and lender-side workouts
• Ability to independently run transactions and manage client communications
• Excellent drafting, organizational, and negotiation skills
• JD from an accredited law school and active bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction

• Work closely with sophisticated clients on high-value transactions
• Be part of a collaborative and growing national real estate finance practice
• Exposure to varied deal structures and market-leading transactions
• Competitive base salary ($240K–$390K) plus discretionary bonus
