This role is part of our Hypersonics and Strategic Missile Defense business, which designs, develops, and delivers highly dependable missile systems for hypersonic and strategic missile defense missions. We provide integrated, mission-ready hardware that brings together multiple technologies into unified systems engineered to perform in demanding operational environments. Our tip-to-tail capabilities include payload protection and deployment systems, propulsion systems, aerodynamic interstage systems, separation systems, missile subsystems, shroud systems, launch systems, and payload integration solutions.

As a Senior Program Financial Analyst, you provide the financial insight and rigor that help program teams make informed decisions and stay on track. You partner closely with Program Managers, Control Account Managers (CAMs), and Schedulers to deliver accurate cost and schedule metrics, develop and maintain baselines, support planning activities, and communicate key financial results. Your work strengthens program performance, supports compliance with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and related standards, and ensures leadership has the information needed to manage execution and forecast program financials effectively.

Schedule

  • This role is onsite and follows a 9/80 schedule, with 9-hour shifts Monday through Thursday, an 8-hour shift every other Friday, and the alternating Friday off.

Responsibilities

  • Provides accurate cost and schedule performance metrics using Earned Value Management System (EVMS) or related program control processes.
  • Supports baseline development, including charge number creation and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) development.
  • Maintains and updates program tools such as Microsoft Project or Deltek Cobra.
  • Analyzes variances to budget and supports development of recovery plans.
  • Reports risks and opportunities related to baseline cost, schedule, and Estimate at Complete (EAC).
  • Maintains the Project‑Activity Structure and ensures timely updates to charge numbers.
  • Leads completion of the EAC process, including time‑phased Estimate to Complete updates and EAC package support.
  • Develops and monitors time‑phased program plans to support revenue forecasting, budgeting, and long‑range planning.
  • Provides financial inputs, analysis, and variance narratives for Program Management Reviews (PMRs) and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
  • Oversees a Financial Analyst and provides backup support to assigned tasks.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant discipline.
  • 7–10 years of related experience.
  • Proven expertise applying Earned Value Management System (EVMS) principles.
  • Knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) program financial controls.
  • Knowledge of federal acquisition regulations and standards, including Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
  • Knowledge of contract types such as Firm‑Fixed‑Price (FFP), Fixed‑Price‑Incentive‑Fee (FPIF), Cost‑Plus‑Fixed‑Fee (CPFF), Cost‑Plus‑Incentive‑Fee (CPIF), and Time and Materials (T\&M).
  • Knowledge of accounting subject areas including revenue recognition.
  • Ability to present complex financial information to all levels of management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications, Microsoft Project, and EPICOR.
  • Advanced Excel, Power BI, and data modeling skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to complete tasks accurately and on time.
  • Ability to work independently as a self‑starter.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant discipline.
