Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled finance professional to assist our finance director. In this pivotal role, you will help with all aspects of financial management, reporting, and compliance.

Duties

• Financial data entry and reporting.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including general ledger reconciliation, account analysis, and financial statement preparation aligned with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
• Help with accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections while maintaining strict adherence to internal controls.
• Assist with forecasting and work-in-progress (WIP) tracking.
• Use accounting systems and software to enter data accurately.
• File and perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Skills

• Degree in finance or accounting from an accredited university.
• Knowledge of accounting principles such as GAAP and IFRS.
• Understanding of construction cost accounting, TxDOT qualification, and reporting.
• Experience in tax and labor law compliance and reporting.
• Skilled in balance sheet reconciliation, account reconciliation processes, accounts payable/receivable management, and general ledger accounting.
• Excellent analytical skills combined with a solid grasp of financial concepts, including debits & credits, double-entry bookkeeping, and financial close processing.
• Effective communication skills for cross-department collaboration.
