The position reports to the Senior Federal Program Manager on the SHI PubSec Federal Programs and Development Team. The position will interact daily with SHI Federal sales and support staff at SHI headquarters in Somerset, NJ and field staff based in Washington DC.
Role Description
Contract Management
- Upload and maintain contracts and related documents with oversight from Federal Program Managers and Deputy Program Managers
- Support the accuracy and consistency of contract data
- Assist with contract updates, modifications, and onboarding
- Track contract status, deadlines, and renewals
- Prepare contract-related reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Serve as a daily contact for internal teams to facilitate a smooth and accurate management of federal contracts and related documentation
- Provide regular status updates to leadership and stakeholders
- Coordinate with internal teams to improve contracts process flow
- Track action items and escalate issues to Federal Program Managers and Deputy Program Managers, when needed
- Support preparation of Statements of Work in alignment with contract requirements
- Maintain reporting data in Teams and SharePoint
- Provide backup coverage for Federal Programs and Development team members
- Conduct research to advise internal stakeholders on best-fit contract options
- Provide general contract and system support to internal stakeholders
- Assist with training sales teams on contract requirements
- Support cross-departmental efforts to improve contract performance

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 1 to 2 years of experience in sales, vendor support, purchasing, accounting, or similar customer-facing roles
- Familiarity with the federal contracting process
- Experience using the Microsoft Office Suite - Word and Track Changes, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint
