A leading organization in the life and annuity insurance industry is seeking a detail-oriented Contract & Business Analyst to support reinsurance strategy, contract management, business analysis, governance, and cross-functional initiatives.

This role offers broad exposure to reinsurance agreements, senior management reporting, compliance and audit activities, business analysis, and stakeholder coordination. The position will work closely with legal, actuarial, underwriting, product, risk management, reinsurance administration, and external reinsurance partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Support reinsurance activities across business, operational, financial, and legal functions.
• Draft, review, and coordinate contracts, amendments, agreements, and related documentation.
• Coordinate communications with reinsurers and internal stakeholders to support timely agreement execution.
• Conduct business analysis, including competitor research, counterparty due diligence, trend analysis, and management reporting.
• Support compliance, audit, risk, and cybersecurity requests by gathering information, tracking requirements, and preparing documentation.
• Maintain templates, process documentation, trackers, and business-as-usual materials to improve governance and operational efficiency.
• Assist with RFP processes, including information gathering, stakeholder coordination, communications, and documentation of key decisions.
• Partner with reinsurance administration teams to communicate contractual updates and operational changes.
• Monitor recurring contractual, governance, and reporting obligations to ensure timely completion.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, or high school diploma with 7+ years of relevant experience.
• 5+ years of experience within the life, health, or annuity insurance industry.
• 5+ years of research and analytical experience.
• 3+ years of experience using Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of reinsurance experience.
• 2+ years of contract drafting experience.
• Experience with negotiation and stakeholder management.
• Experience using AI tools and technologies to support contract analysis, business analysis, process improvement, requirements gathering, and data-driven decision-making.
• Strong ability to translate analysis into practical business insights.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Paralegal, document management, or related qualifications are advantageous.
