Motor Distributors Limited, the exclusive importer and distributor of Mercedes-Benz, smart, BYD and XPENG in Ireland wishes to recruit a Costing Analyst for our Costing Department.


The Costing Analyst is responsible for the preparation, maintenance, and analysis of vehicle costing and pricing data for both internal stakeholders and external customers. The role supports commercial decision-making by ensuring cost files, pricing information, vehicle landed costs, and statutory declarations are accurately maintained and reported in a timely manner.

Key Duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare and maintain detailed cost files for new and existing vehicle models, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all product lines.
  • Update, and distribute pricing lists and pricing updates to Sales, Finance, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain and monitor pricing and costing data within the company's wholesale and internal systems to ensure data integrity.
  • Analyse cost movements and pricing changes, highlighting variances.
  • Reconcile vehicle deliveries and shipping documentation, ensuring all units are accurately costed and uploaded to inventory systems.
  • Prepare and submit Revenue declarations, including Vehicle Registration Tax (VRT) submissions, in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Respond to and resolve internal pricing, costing, and stock-related queries in a timely manner.
  • Support the implementation of new vehicle launches by preparing and validating associated costing and pricing structures.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects and analytical tasks as required by the business.


Skills, Experience and Qualifications


The successful candidate will ideally:

  • Have previous experience in a costing, pricing, finance, or business support role.
  • Possess advanced Excel skills.
  • Demonstrate strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Have excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy when working with complex data.
  • Be highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet demanding deadlines.
  • Have strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across different departments.
  • Have a positive, enthusiastic, can-do attitude.
  • Work well as part of a team.
  • Be self-motivated and capable of working independently while contributing positively within a team environment.
  • Display a proactive, positive, and flexible approach to work.
