About the Role.
Job Title: Materials Budgeting Supervisor
Job Location: Kuwait
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and control project budgets throughout the project lifecycle.
- Estimate personnel, equipment, machinery, and material costs to support project planning and decision-making.
- Monitor project cost performance, analyze cost variances, and recommend cost optimization measures.
- Review subcontractor quotations, participate in commercial negotiations, and support subcontract cost management.
- Assist project managers in preparing procurement plans for materials, spare parts, and consumables.
- Establish and maintain a material price database and regularly update market pricing information.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly cost analysis reports for management.
- Participate in project cost settlement reviews to ensure accuracy, compliance, and cost effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or above in Engineering Management, Cost Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in budgeting and cost control within the Oil & Gas, Energy, or Engineering industry.
- Strong knowledge of cost estimation, budgeting, and project cost control methodologies.
- Familiarity with equipment, spare parts, and material pricing in engineering projects.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and evaluate cost data.
- Proficiency in cost estimation and budgeting software, as well as Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience in commercial negotiations and supplier or subcontractor management.
- Fluent in English with the ability to review technical documents and commercial contracts.
- Professional certification in Cost Engineering or a related field is preferred.
