UNCOMN is seeking a Director, Contracts to review contract solicitation terms, manage contract award confirmations, interpret agreement terms and conditions and identify potential issues, and review agreement amendments/modifications and incorporate changes. The Director, Contracts will also:
- Own the post-award contract lifecycle
- Serve as UNCOMN’s principal contracts subject-matter expert on FAR, DFARS, agency supplements, and contract-specific requirements
- Identify, assess, and actively manage contractual and business risk
- Ensure disciplined contract administration throughout performance
- Lead the administration and negotiation of routine contract actions
- Partner with program and operational leadership to proactively manage contract changes and performance issues
- Establish and maintain a scalable contracts management framework
- Partner closely with Finance to maintain visibility into contractual financial risk
- Oversee subcontract and supplier contracting from award through closeout
- Serve as a trusted business advisor to leadership on the contract portfolio
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in business administration, law, finance, or a related field with 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Extensive knowledge of contracting life cycle from RFP to closeout.
- Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS).
- Exemplifies knowledge of contract law, accounting principles and finance.
- Strong critical thinking, problem solving, negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of contract/purchase order terms and conditions and detailed knowledge of the government contracting process.
- Knowledge of the terms and conditions appropriate for different contract types (FFP, CPFF, CPIF, T&M, IDIQ, etc.) and their proper use.
- Must be eligible to obtain a security clearance, granted by the U.S. Government, which requires U.S. citizenship. The government also uses 13 adjudicative guidelines to determine an individual's eligibility.
