What You’ll Do
- Manage Workflow & Relationships: Serve as a primary liaison between internal hospital departments, procurement teams, and external vendors with a focus on exceptional customer service.
- Order & Work Queue Management: Daily review of work queues to place critical orders by deadline based on priority, tracking orders to ensure accurate, timely delivery.
- Vendor & Invoice Oversight: Review and negotiate vendor quotes for labor and parts, auditing invoices for accuracy against negotiated rates and processing them within standard accounting terms.
- Smart Sourcing & Cost Analysis: Evaluate equipment repair histories to determine whether to repair or replace assets. Decide whether to source via OEMs or third-party vendors to maximize cost-efficiency.
- Systems & Process Optimization: Navigate inventory databases (MMIS, VendorMate, Premier, SharePoint) and identify opportunities for workflow automation (e.g., EDI) to prevent recurring errors.
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree OR practical supply chain management experience.
- Core Skills: Solid foundation in supply chain logistics, general accounting concepts, and strong cost-analysis abilities.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfort navigating online database systems (MMIS, SharePoint, vendor portals).
- Work Ethic: Strong oral and written communication skills, high sense of urgency, sharp attention to detail, and proven ability to multitask under tight deadlines.
- Mindset: An inquisitive, self-motivated nature—eager to ask questions, solve problems, and take full ownership of results.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience or general operational knowledge within a hospital setting (e.g., Operating Room, Cath Lab, or Surgery lines).
- Familiarity with general equipment maintenance terminology.
