The Space Systems Group (SSG), part of SPA’s Space and Intelligence Division, provides timely and objective assessments and recommendations integrating technical, operational, programmatic, policy and business analysis. We focus on our key clients in the Space community including the US Space Force’s Space Systems Command (USSF/SSC), one of the three designated Field Commands under USSF. We work tirelessly to provide integrated solutions based on information and communications throughout the chain of command. We provide clear and consistent analysis and recommendations which are aligned to strategic and leadership goals while balancing the ability to execute on time and on budget within the technical communities. SPA has a near-tem opening for a Contracts Administrator.
Responsibilities
Duties associated with this role include but are not limited to the following:
- Administers and manages company contracts, monitoring contract transactions from negotiation to close-out.
- Ensures that contracts, modifications, and agreements comply with relevant legal requirements, contract specifications, and government regulations.
- Advises management of contractual rights and obligations and provides interpretation of contract terms and conditions.
- Provide timely support to management and proposal team to facilitate the review of solicitation and identifying questions.
- Prepare worksheets and perform calculations in support of contract activities.
- Establish and maintain excellent internal and external relationships with Program Managers, Customers, and other departments.
- Resolve issues affecting company compliance and ensure satisfication of legal requirements, company and customer objectives.
- Develop and maintain electronic file management of all contract related documents.
- US Citizenship + active TS/SCI security clearance
- 8+ years of related work experience with MA/MS degree or higher (additional years of relevant experience may be substituted) in STEM, Business, Contract Administration, Statistics, International Relations, Military Studies, Political Science, National Security, Government Economics, Pre-law/Law, or related field of study
- Superior interpersonal, organizational, written, verbal communication skills, and attention to detail
- Able to effectively manage time and collaborate across a diverse set of department priorities
- Recognized expert at developing briefs and reports for leadership team review
- Additional qualifications as needed by organization requirements
- Ability to report to designated work location in El Segundo, CA, up to full time, based on the needs of the customer
