Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Hubbard, TX
Schedule: Full-time, On-site (50+ hours/week, overtime paid)
Duration: 1-Year Contract-to-Hire (Long-term contract option available)
Per Diem: available for qualified non-local candidates
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support a major industrial capital project in Hubbard, TX. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong EPC contractor background who have managed commercial and cost activities throughout the full project lifecycle on large-scale construction projects.
The successful candidate will play a key role in cost management, contract administration, commercial reporting, and change management while working closely with project management, engineering, construction, and subcontractors.
Responsibilities
- Manage quantity surveying and commercial activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Administer contracts, change orders, and variations.
- Monitor project costs, budgets, forecasts, and commercial performance.
- Review contractor and subcontractor payment applications.
- Prepare cost reports, forecasts, and commercial documentation.
- Support procurement and contract administration activities.
- Identify commercial risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Work closely with project controls, engineering, construction, and project management teams.
- Maintain accurate commercial records and project documentation.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of commercial processes within a growing organization.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management experience.
- Strong EPC contractor experience supporting large industrial construction projects.
- Experience with large capital projects is highly preferred.
- Greenfield project experience is highly desirable; brownfield experience is also valuable.
- Experience managing cost control, contract administration, commercial reporting, and change management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where processes continue to evolve.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Willingness to work extended hours as project demands require.
