Estimator

As a Multifamily Estimator, you'll be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for multifamily construction projects from conceptual design through bid submission.

I'm working with a well-established, privately owned general contractor in Columbus, Ohio that is looking to add an Estimator with strong multifamily construction experience to its growing team.

Description

• Prepare detailed estimates for multifamily construction projects
• Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and bid documents
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop accurate project budgets
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals
• Identify scope gaps, exclusions, risks, and value-engineering opportunities
• Assist with preconstruction, budgeting, and GMP development
• Work with Project Managers and field teams to ensure estimates are accurate and achievable
• Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and vendors throughout the bidding process
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and project turnover

Profile

• Previous estimating experience within multifamily woodframe construction
• Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, scopes, and subcontractor pricing
• Experience with quantity takeoffs and cost estimating
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficiency with common estimating and construction software
