This full-time, on-site Accounting & Purchasing Specialist role is located in the Greater Jackson, MI Area. The specialist will manage daily accounting tasks such as preparing and posting journal entries, assisting with financial statement preparation, and maintaining accurate records in accounting software systems. The role includes monitoring invoices, processing purchase orders, reconciling vendor accounts, and coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and cost-effective purchasing. The specialist will collaborate with internal teams to support budgeting, cost tracking, and inventory-related financial activities, while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in finance and the preparation, review, and understanding of financial statements
• Experience using accounting software and handling journal entries (accounting) accurately and efficiently
• Demonstrated analytical skills for reviewing data, resolving discrepancies, and supporting decision-making
• Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for working with vendors and internal teams
• Ability to work on-site full-time in the Greater Jackson, MI Area and collaborate in a manufacturing environment
• Prior experience in manufacturing or automotive industries is beneficial
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
