This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Cost Planner to join at a time of significant growth and expansion. Working alongside experienced project teams across high-rise residential, commercial, health and education projects, you’ll have the opportunity to work on a diverse, high-quality project portfolio while developing your skills and career with a tier 1 builder.
As a Cost Planner you will:
- Record and maintain cost and program data from tender submissions, ensuring it's accessible for future bids and shared with bid team members
- Build strong working relationships with subcontractor partners, creating opportunities for them to convert on successful tenders
- Assist in preparing detailed, accurate, and timely cost plans for projects, while contributing relevant insight into tender review meetings
- Evaluate alternative program, material, labour, and budget solutions priced by subcontractors, liaising with other tender teams on impacts to their work
- Foster productive collaboration across the cost planning team, project teams, and internal/external stakeholders, including participating in tender handovers and project review meetings
What will make you stand out?
- Experience working across high rise residential and/or commercial, education and health projects
- Experience managing tenders independently on projects above $100million in value
- Proven experience of positive relationships with subcontractors and trade partners
- Excellent attention to detail when preparing cost plans under tight tender deadlines
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Economics, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or similar
