- Administers active apprenticeship grants throughout the grant lifecycle, including application review, award preparation, monitoring, reimbursement, reporting, closeout, and record retention.
- Reviews grant applications and supporting documentation for completeness, accuracy, eligibility, and alignment with established program requirements.
- Makes recommendations to the Program Lead regarding the approval, denial, or revision of grant applications based on established policies, funding requirements, and available documentation.
- Assists the program lead with preparing and finalizing all reporting requirements required by the US Department of Labor as well as internal annual reporting requirements.
- Supports communication efforts that increase awareness of Registered Apprenticeship, Pre-Apprenticeship, grant opportunities, and available technical assistance.
- Assists with developing and updating educational and informational materials for employers, workforce centers, education providers, partners, and members of the public.
- Assists with planning and coordinating meetings, webinars, training sessions, outreach campaigns, recognition activities, and special events.
- Travels as needed to support outreach events, presentations, and other program responsibilities.
- Serves as a liaison between the Wyoming Apprenticeship Team and employers, workforce centers, education and training providers, industry associations, community organizations, government entities, and other partners.
- Assists prospective and existing apprenticeship sponsors with identifying appropriate resources, completing preliminary documentation, and connecting with the Program Lead or other technical experts.
- Maintains a working knowledge of Registered Apprenticeship requirements, program-registration processes, apprenticeship occupations, funding opportunities, and priority industries
- Strong computer skills, including typing, Excel, Word, and Google
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to use critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to shift priorities based on program work needs
- Ability to be flexible based on program needs
- Ability to work with a team and independently
- Knowledge and understanding of effective communication and customer service skills
