Project Accountant

Yonkers Contracting Company is seeking a qualified Construction Project Accountant with at least 3 years of relevant experience in heavy-highway construction.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and monitor budgets to ensure compliance with project goals
- Perform financial analysis to assess project profitability and projected costs
- Generate financial reports, including cost tracking and variance analysis
- Collaborate with project team to ensure financial alignment with project objectives
- Utilize construction management software to enhance cost management and improve data accuracy
- Prepare financial reports for monthly estimates and change orders
- Process accounts payables and receivables
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or equivalent experience in construction
- Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently
- Proven ability to collaborate and function effectively as part of a team
