Fox Rothschild has an opening for a mid-level or senior associate with experience in mid-market M&A ($25 million to $500 million in deal value) and venture capital. This is substantive, client-facing work: the ideal candidate will have significant exposure to sophisticated deal structures, direct client contact, and the opportunity to shape transactions. We are looking for candidates with 4 to 6 years of corporate and transactional experience and working knowledge of corporate and partnership taxation concepts. We are not currently accepting resumes from search firms for this position.
Qualifications
A Juris Doctorate (JD) is required. Candidates must be licensed to practice in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, the District of Columbia, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, or Massachusetts. Because we offer location flexibility, candidates may work from any of these jurisdictions where licensed.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Strong writing skills, and academic record required.
- Experience drafting stock and asset purchase agreements and familiarity with the NVCA documents required.
- Ability to handle routine matters independently and interact directly with clients.
- Ability to handle major acquisitions and divestiture activity for hundreds of middle-market companies and buy and sell local businesses for our smaller clients.
- Large law firm experience preferred.
- This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment including, but not limited to computers, telephones, printers, and copiers.
- Sedentary work: Exertion of physical strength to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 10 pounds. Work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties.
- The salary ranges for this position apply to the respective listed locations. The salary range reflects a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for a position. Reasonable estimates of the current ranges for this position are:
- Boston: $235,000 - $265,000
- D.C. and New York: $240,000 - $270,000
- New Jersey: $215,000 - $245,000
