Requirements
- Lead compliance review, preparation, and submission of government solicitations, bids, and proposals in accordance with FAR, DFARS, and agency-specific requirements
- Partner with government sales and account managers to assess opportunities, identify compliance risks, and support bid/no-bid decisions
- Interpret, administer, and ensure compliance of prime contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders in alignment with contractual terms and regulatory requirements
- Analyze solicitations and contract clauses to ensure accurate representations, certifications, and required flowdowns
- Manage subcontracting activities, including issuance of compliant purchase orders with appropriate FAR/DFARS clauses and flowdowns
- Ensure accurate contract setup and maintenance within internal systems, including proper classification of contract types and regulatory attributes
- Coordinate with Legal on contract review, negotiation, and risk mitigation prior to execution
- Monitor and manage DPAS ratings, priority scheduling, and delivery compliance requirements
- Maintain current knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and applicable regulations; proactively communicate changes and business impacts to stakeholders
- Support internal and external audits (e.g., DCMA, DCAA) through comprehensive documentation, recordkeeping, and compliance tracking
- Identify compliance gaps and implement or recommend corrective actions to mitigate contractual and regulatory risk
- Provide ongoing compliance oversight and guidance throughout the contract lifecycle
- Administer contracts in both prime and subcontractor capacities, ensuring full compliance with customer requirements
- Review and support negotiation of contractual agreements, including NDAs, Teaming Agreements, and Subcontracts
- Support contract modifications, change management, and closeout processes
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, and Program Management to ensure contractual performance and compliance
- Perform additional duties as required to support overall business objectives
- 3–5+ years of experience in U.S. government contracting, preferably within the defense industry base.
- Demonstrated, working knowledge of FAR and DFARS, including a deep understanding of contract types, federal acquisition processes, and contract vehicles.
- Strong technical proficiency in proposal compliance, contract administration, and subcontract management, including clause interpretation and mandatory flowdowns.
- Exceptional communication skills with the proven ability to translate complex federal regulations and requirements into actionable instruction for cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience serving as a liaison between Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, and Program Management to ensure compliant execution and risk mitigation.
- High attention to detail with the ability to interpret complex contractual language, regulatory guidance, and DPAS requirements.
- Preferred experience within lifting, rigging, safety services, or engineered products sectors.
- Highly organized and self-directed, with the discipline to manage multiple multi-stakeholder initiatives and high-priority bids in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams) and modern ERP systems.
- Ability to successfully complete required background checks, physical examination, drug screening, and E-Verify verification.
