This position is responsible for responding to internal and external inquiries related to the Police Officer Scheduling System. The role assists in the development and implementation of project policies and procedures and serves as the secondary System Administrator for Police Officer Scheduling System, supporting system modifications such as building schedules, reconciling data, performing audits, and resolving payroll-related issues. Additionally, this position provides support to the Accounts Payable team and assists with the coordination and management of special projects as assigned.
- The department hiring salary range will be $56,900.48 - $65,294.61***
- Develops and implements program goals and objectives by designing and evaluating program/project policies and procedures; collaborating on necessary program/project changes and improvements; and communicating policies to personnel, customers and vendors.
- May develop and monitor the program/project budget by compiling statistical data, analyzing data to make cost projections, preparing monthly financial, statistical and narrative reports on cost projections; and monitoring, developing and projecting expenditures.
- May supervise employees by delegating work, identifying and conducting training, and performing appraisals.
- Responds to internal and external inquiries related to specific projects or programs by answering telephones and resolving issues.
Work requires broad knowledge in a general professional or technical field. Knowledge is normally acquired through four years of college resulting in a Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Three (3) years experience in a field related to the program/project; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Information & Requirements
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8 hours per day; every other Saturday (hours may vary).

If you are hired January 1, 2022, or after to a position with Virginia Retirement System (VRS) benefits, you will be required to contribute five percent (5%) of your salary toward your retirement benefit. This will be a pre-tax payroll deduction.
- The Tuition Assistance Program is established to encourage employees toward continued self-development and education. Permanent full-time and permanent part-time classified, unclassified permanent, full-time special projects, and constitutional employees who have completed six months continuous service will be eligible to apply. The applicant’s school of enrollment must be an accredited institution.
