- Evaluate supplier production capacity, equipment capability, workforce availability, and scalability
- Align supplier capacity with forecasted demand and fabrication schedules
- Conduct regular capacity reviews with key suppliers to identify constraints and growth limitations
- Assess supplier technical capabilities relative to fabrication requirements (e.g., machining tolerances, welding certifications, composite layup processes, etc.)
- Participate in make-vs-buy analysis with consideration of supplier capacity and internal workload
- Communicate rolling forecasts and long-range capacity needs to strategic suppliers
- Generates purchase orders, maintains data and coordinates payment in ERP system
- Provides outstanding levels of customer service
- Interfaces with the Materials and Operations teams to manage and plan inventory levels
- Interfaces with the Quality team to manage supplier quality issues
- May support negotiations best prices and terms for materials and services
- Ensures processes comply with AS9100 quality requirements
- Ensures contract terms are adhered to and deliverables met
- Interfaces with internal customers on supplier issues
- Responsible for maintaining effective relationships with strategic suppliers and monitoring performance
- Manages significant bid packages from inception to contract award to maximize total value
- Must work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines
- Must be at work on time and maintain good attendance. This is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job

- Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).
- This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). Janicki will assist with gaining this access once employed. Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.
- Required:
- Relevant 4-year degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum requirement is a high school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of experience purchasing materials, supplies, equipment and/or services on a supply chain team
- Demonstrated experience in contract negotiations/management
- Experience in an ISO or AS quality management system
- Experience working in an ERP/PDM environment
- Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
- Must be willing and able to obtain a government issued security clearance
- Preferred:
- Aerospace industry experience preferred
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Project management experience preferred
- CPIM or CSCP certification a plus
- Salary range for this role is between $89,000 - $115,000, plus discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts. The range provided is Janicki’s estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities
