HERE IS WHAT YOU’LL DO AS A COST ESTIMATOR:
- Performs complex aerospace manufacturing estimating activities; develops, analyzes, evaluates, coordinates, prepares, and supports cost proposals to US Government customers
- Reviews Requests for Proposals (RFP) and proposal documents for compliance with customer specifications/requirements and adherence to company policy
- Reviews project requirements with Program Management, Business Management, Design, Operations, and Engineering to determine precise material, labor, and equipment needs
- Analyzes 3D geometry, engineering drawings, specifications, and Statements of Work (SOW) to determine manufacturing feasibility and technical risk assessments
- Prepares and presents costs estimates to management, customer representatives and government audit agencies
- Analyzes "to-date" actuals and completed project costs to refine cost-calculators and develops standardized templates for future estimating accuracy
- Reviews scope definition and changes with customers to ensure clarity and accuracy.
- Ensures adherence to FAR and DFARS, Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA), and Janicki policies and procedures regarding cost proposal preparation, review, compliance, submission, updates/revisions, and negotiations
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 2+ years’ hands-on experience in manufacturing or construction or aerospace
- Understanding of cost/schedule estimating principals.
- Active Secret level clearance
- Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
- Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).
- This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). Janicki will assist with gaining this access once employed. Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and require that the candidate agrees to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.
- Experience in business, finance, sales or project management
- Experience with 3D CAD Software (CATIA, NX Unigraphics, etc.)
- Experience evaluating technical drawings.
- Experience in Pricing and Estimating; preparing and presenting sales proposals to internal and external customers.
- Experience with aerospace processes and industry terminologies.
- Working understanding of FAR and DFARS requirements
- Salary range for this role is between $83,000 - $125,000, plus discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts. The range provided is Janicki’s estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities
