About the Role
We are a growing wholesale and eCommerce company in the toy and costume industry looking for an organized, hands-on Product Development & Purchasing Coordinator to join our team.
This role works across the full product lifecycle—from samples and specifications through packaging, purchase orders, production, testing, and shipment. You will communicate directly with overseas factories and take ownership of keeping products and orders moving forward and on schedule.
We are ideally looking for someone with 2–5 years of relevant experience. Experience in toys, costumes, apparel, accessories, or other consumer products is a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage product development projects from sample stage through production
- Communicate directly with overseas factories regarding samples, specifications, pricing, packaging, and production
- Prepare and manage purchase orders
- Track samples, approvals, production schedules, and shipping timelines
- Review samples and communicate changes and corrections to factories
- Coordinate packaging, labels, instructions, and product specifications
- Coordinate product testing and compliance requirements
- Maintain accurate product, vendor, pricing, and purchasing information
- Proactively follow up with factories and resolve product or production issues
- Coordinate with sales, operations, and warehouse teams as needed
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in product development, purchasing, sourcing, production, or a related role
- Experience working directly with overseas factories or suppliers strongly preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and follow-up skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Comfortable taking ownership and working independently
Experience with toys, costumes, apparel, children's products, product packaging, or overseas manufacturing is a strong plus.
