Job Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual analysis for clinical departments, academic divisions, and research programs
- Analyze financial performance, including patient care revenue, grant funding, departmental expenses, and patient billing statistics
- Assist in the development and monitoring of operating, capital, and grant-related budgets
- Track and explain variances between budgeted and actual results across multiple divisions
- Assist with financial management of research funds, including grants and sponsored programs
- Maintain and update financial models and dashboards for assigned departments
- Partner with department administrators and faculty to gather, interpret financial and operational data
- Anticipate problems that may impact the department and present solutions to the Administrator for discussion and decision-making
- Assist the Administer in analyzing contracts and make recommendations
- Analyze and contribute to process improvement and standardization across departments and divisions, including aligning workflows, patient metrics, and reporting practices
- Coordinate data system and EMR system installations and upgrades
- Maintain general working knowledge of all insurance contracts
- Communicate with the billing department to review patient billing statistics and resolve billing issues
- Maintain general working current knowledge of CPT and ICD
- Maintain general working knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid payment policies
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, grant requirements, and institutional policies
- Assist in assuring compliance and securities policy are implemented and followed
- Assist with new office startups
- Assist with space and asset management
- 3-5 years of relevant experience (healthcare or higher education preferred)
- Basic knowledge of finance and clinical operations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders

Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as internal equity, market and business considerations. The salary range depicted is based on full time, 1.0 FTE and would be prorated accordingly for less than 1.0 FTE.
