Role Description The Resource Analyst role at the Defense Commissary Agency is a full-time, on-site position located in Kaiserslautern. The Resource Analyst monitors and analyzes financial, staffing, and operational resources to support effective commissary operations, including tracking budgets, preparing reports, and identifying variances. This role assists in planning and forecasting resource needs, gathering and validating data, and recommending adjustments to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness. The Resource Analyst collaborates with local and regional leadership, shares analysis in meetings, and helps ensure compliance with agency policies and regulations. Day-to-day tasks include using office and financial systems, maintaining documentation, and supporting audits or reviews related to resource management.


Duties/Qualifications

  • Monitors and provides reports on strategic planning objectives, action plans, performance metrics and fiscal resources.
  • Adapts to resource, funding and programmatic changes, and evaluates the effects of cost and program revisions on budget execution.
  • Identifies, quantifies and justifies resource requirements in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Reviews and analyzes budget estimates.
  • Develops and maintains a prioritized list of unfinanced agency requirements.
  • Assembles statistical, program and financial data to prepare detailed narrative reports.
  • Establishes criteria to predict and measure the attainment of program or organizational goals and objectives.
  • Resolves problems in the staffing, effectiveness and efficiency of programming objectives.
