Job Description

CRP Project Establishment Coordination

Work with CRP Team to support the selection and establishment of

new projects and amendments that follow the Standard Operating Procedures for the Coral Protection and Restoration

program, as well as the Department's Grant Resource Guides.

CPR Project Management Coordination

Work with CPR team members to support the effective ongoing

management of new grant agreements and amendments. Provide comprehensive grant management and coordination

services that follow the Standard Operating Procedures for the Coral Protection and Restoration program, as well as the

Department's Grant Resource Guides.

Information Management and Sharing

Represent the DEP CPR Program and FSG. Work collaboratively and

exchange information with CPR, Office of Resilience and Coastal Protection (ORCP) Southeast Region, agency and nonagency

representatives, leadership, and all other interested partners and stakeholders. Information and updates may be in

the form of presentations, one-pagers, written or verbal updates, or other products as requested.

Marginal Functions

  • After successfully completing 6 months, may be considered field activities in compliance with University of Florida and

DEP program requirements. It is the sole responsibility of the Coordinator to maintain any field related qualifications.

  • Participate and successfully complete the Florida Certified Contract Manager Training.
  • Other duties, as assigned, with important ones documented.

Expected Salary

$52,530

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Valid FL driver's license.

Preferred:

  • Two years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of and direct experience with the management of coral reef ecosystems.
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate and complete projects with minimal supervision.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Fluency in computer and communications technology.
  • Project management and contracting experience.
  • Knowledge of Florida's Coral Reef and coral diseases, restoration and protection alternatives.
  • Florida Certified Contract Manager with experience managing a minimum of $20 million annual

budget.

  • Ability to learn and use new software, such as Salesforce or other state-managed programs, as

needed

  • Experience in reviewing and editing technical research proposals and creating management

summaries.

  • Preferred locations include DEP offices in Miami and Dania Beach.
