About the role

The person is responsible in budget monitoring, cost control and payment management, variation and claim validation, financial forecasting and cross- department coordination.


Key Accountabilities

  • Budget Monitoring: Monitor spendings vs Authorization For Expenditures (AFEs). Job will require monitoring of up to 20 AFEs
  • Cost control and Payment Management: Review and approve Interim Payment Applications received from Project Team. Management of Interim Payment Application process until a certificate is issued. Coordinate between treasury and project team once certified.
  • Variation & Claim Validation: Review contractor change orders and claims against original awarded packages to prevent overbilling.
  • Financial Forecasting: Reconcile actuals and forecast spending to completion allowing for retention release at ToC and 12 months after ToC.
  • Cross-Department Coordination: Reconcile cost and financial data by aligning with Procurement, Contracts, and Project Teams.


Qualities, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Quantity Surveying
  • With 2-year professional experience in construction on projects.
  • With good communication skills
