DescriptionThe Receiving Clerk will act as a liaison between the accounting department and the shipping department. The Receiving Clerk will be responsible for jobs being billed on time, freight costs being properly applied to their job number within Pace and that all support for freight costs and received purchase orders are received and delivered to the correct party, i.e. accounting, PM/CSR, corporate accounts payable department and/or project managers. This position will be part of the shipping team, working in the shipping department.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Utilizing the shipping system to process shipments, including packages and skids
- Loading and unloading delivery trucks if needed
- Operating a forklift
- Receiving paper and other print related supplies
- Utilizing the PO system to output purchase orders to confirm proper product is being received
- Communicating quickly and clearly and discrepancies or damaged product
- Studies shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receivable standards
- Help with daily workload of jobs running and ensuring details are followed on packaging and labeling of finished product
- Help coordinate shipping of jobs to and from outside vendors
- Communicate details of shipping information are not on the job ticket
- Oversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments
- Directs movement of shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage and work areas
- Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates
- Adjusts errors and complaints
- Be available to cover for different areas of the department when needed
- Perform all other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 5 – 10+ years of work experience
- Requires use of proper body mechanics with pushing, pulling, reaching, lifting, squatting, kneeling and bending.
- Requires 4 – 6 hours per day at CRT screen or other office machines.
- Requires fine motor hand and arm movement, manual dexterity and coordination.
- Requires near visual acuity.
- Requires working around and operating departmental equipment.
- Requires the ability to function in a professional manner under stressful circumstances.
- Hours may vary depending on departmental staffing needs.
- Must comply with dress code of department/company.
- Requires use of proper body mechanics with pushing, pulling, reaching, lifting, squatting, kneeling and bending
- Pushing/pulling and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Requires fine motor hand and arm movement, manual dexterity and coordination
- Requires near visual acuity
- Requires working around and operating departmental equipment

- Requires the ability to function in a professional manner under stressful circumstances
