- Notes discrepancies, quantity, prices and may key punch update of information into computer.
- Operates material handling equipment (forklifts) to move material.
- Follows safety regulations to ensure motor vehicle is not loaded beyond rated capacity.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires a one year probationary period.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.

- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a Forklift Operator Certification.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Materials Handler without more than normal supervision. I can 1) Route materials and equipment to correct locations or storage areas, 2) Select items for shipment by comparing identifying information on documents with stock tags or box markings and 3) Prepare shipping and inventory documents with required data for entrance into automated inventory systems. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.

Working Conditions: Administrative functions are performed in an office area within a warehouse however all other functions are performed in a warehouse environment under extremely hot and cold temperatures. No air conditioning and very little heat exists in the storage area. It is necessary to leave sliding doors open for long periods of time while loading and unloading trucks creating severe drafts. A roof is the only protection against weather while loading and unloading trucks. Work surfaces are concrete. Must wear appropriate safety equipment such as steel toed safety shoes, eye wear, hard hat, and gloves (which is provided by employer).
Education
