Shipping and Receiving Specialist

Role Description This full-time, on-site Shipping and Receiving Specialist role is based in Macomb, MI. The Specialist is responsible for receiving incoming shipments, verifying documentation and quantities, and inspecting goods for accuracy and damage. Daily tasks include preparing and packing outgoing orders, labeling and staging shipments, and coordinating with carriers to ensure timely pickups and deliveries. The role involves maintaining inventory control by recording incoming and outgoing materials, organizing stock, and performing routine stock checks. The Specialist will also unload trucks and containers, safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment, and follow all safety and company procedures to ensure a clean, orderly work area.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in Shipping & Receiving, including verifying orders, processing documentation, and coordinating shipments.
• Proficiency in Packing and preparing materials for shipment, with attention to labeling, packaging standards, and damage prevention.
• Experience with Inventory Control, including tracking stock, updating records, and conducting counts or audits.
• Ability to perform Unloading tasks safely and efficiently, including handling pallets, crates, and varied freight.
• Safe and certified Forklift Operation skills, with familiarity in using pallet jacks and other material-handling equipment.
• Strong attention to detail, basic math and computer skills, and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Commitment to workplace safety, reliability in attendance, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Previous experience in warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing settings preferred.
