Serving as the go-to expert and proactive sparring partner for our local HR team, helping to structure, streamline, and remediate internal processes to mitigate legal risks while supporting commercial objectives
Providing hands-on, practical, and commercially viable legal guidance on gig-economy and platform worker topics specific to the Czech market,
Partnering directly with the local business operations to deeply understand their goals, delivering legal solutions that enable, rather than block, innovation and market expansion in the CZ region
Developing and managing standardized local templates for both commercial agreements and employment policies, ensuring global guidelines are properly localized for the Czech legal framework
Bridging the gap between strict legal requirements and fast-paced business needs by building pragmatic compliance strategies, risk-assessments, and smart workarounds
Engaging in the resolution of commercial and labor disputes, communicating with local authorities, and managing potential litigation or settlement negotiations
Providing firm guidance, training, and support to both business and HR team members, translating complex legal jargon into clear, actionable business advice
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Law from a Czech university (Mgr.)
At least 3 years of experience in a Legal Counsel or Attorney/Associate role, ideally as a corporate generalist with a heavy focus on Czech Employment/Labor Law, or an employment lawyer with strong commercial contract experience
Full professional proficiency in Czech and English (both written and spoken) is a must
Strong commercial acumen with a proven track record of balancing legal risks with operational speed, business goals, and bottom-line results
You are resilient and possess a proven ability to bring structure to ambiguous situations, effectively guiding both business and HR teams toward operational excellence
You love delivering solutions and think out of the box to solve legal obstacles, with a track record of "cleaning up" legacy processes and implementing robust, scalable frameworks
You have deep expertise in navigating Czech labor regulations,
You work independently, assertively, and collaboratively in a fast-paced, highly commercial, and unstructured environment
You are able to anticipate business needs, push back when necessary, and drive compliance initiatives forward without stifling innovation
Nice to have:
Prior in-house experience in the food delivery, e-commerce, gig-economy, or fast-moving logistics sector within the CEE region
Experience with translating and implementing global corporate policies into local Czech operations
Experience communicating with Czech regulatory bodies
