Position Overview
Mercedes-Benz North Vancouver is currently seeking a Parts Shipper & Receiver to join our Parts Department. This role reports directly to the Parts Manager and plays a critical part in ensuring the accurate, timely, and efficient flow of parts and accessories that support dealership operations and an exceptional customer experience.
The Parts Shipper & Receiver is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing parts accurately while supporting both internal service teams and external customers. This position contributes to the overall efficiency of the dealership by maintaining inventory integrity, supporting parts sales, and upholding Dilawri’s standards of excellence, teamwork, and customer service.
The expected annual salary for this position is $47,757.59
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming parts shipments for accuracy, quantity, and condition
- Report shipment discrepancies, shortages, or damaged items promptly and take appropriate corrective action
- Expedite received parts to appropriate Parts Advisors and internal departments
- Label parts accurately with proper part numbers and ensure correct binning and storage
- Monitor and update part number changes and adjust inventory locations as required
- Identify and process special‑order parts and notify the appropriate department or customer
- Perform customer follow‑ups on special‑order parts to ensure timely communication and satisfaction
- Provide product information and promote parts and accessory sales to customers
- Maintain adequate inventory of batteries, boutique items, and accessories displays
- Assist internal and external customers at the parts counter and over the phone
- Support general housekeeping of the parts department, including stockroom organization and inventory replenishment
- Act as a backup to Parts Advisors when required
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Previous experience with automotive parts, inventory management, or shipping/receiving preferred
- Working knowledge of parts inventory operations and procedures
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to exceed customer expectations
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work with a sense of urgency and meet deadlines
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Office, Internet applications, ADP, and Electronic Parts Catalogs (EPC)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
