Job Summary
As a Vice President Customer Growth Innovation in Branded Cards, you lead emerging growth strategies by combining customer insight, market intelligence, and data driven thinking to create differentiated experiences. You will build a disciplined test and learn agenda, develop clear business cases, and partner across teams to translate ideas into outcomes. You will thrive in ambiguity, influence leaders across functions, and balance customer experience with sound economics and responsible execution.
Job responsibilities
- Use customer insights, competitive research, data, and emerging trends to identify new growth opportunities
- Shape and support growth and innovation initiatives that strengthen acquisition, engagement, retention, and loyalty
- Connect longer term strategy to near term plans, investments, and priorities
- Build and maintain a structured test and learn roadmap, including hypotheses, success measures, and learning goals
- Develop business cases for new concepts, including customer impact and financial impact
- Define measurement approaches to evaluate pilots and inform scale or stop decisions
- Partner with product, analytics, lifestyle and experiences, banking, wealth, and finance teams to move ideas into delivery
- Create clear recommendations and execution plans from complex, incomplete, or changing information
- Act as a thought partner on competitive differentiation and emerging opportunities
- Identify key tradeoffs across customer experience, economics, operational complexity, and risk considerations
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 10 or more years of experience in strategy, growth, innovation, management consulting, financial services, consumer businesses, or related fields
- Demonstrated ability to design and deliver growth strategies with measurable customer and business outcomes
- Strong strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex inputs into clear recommendations
- Experience building business cases and evaluating investment options using customer and financial data
- Proven ability to influence and align cross functional stakeholders in a complex organization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive ready storytelling
- Comfort operating in ambiguity and creating structure to move from strategy to execution
- Strong judgement and ability to balance growth goals with customer experience, economics, operational complexity, and risk considerations
- Bachelor’s degree
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience leading experimentation programs from concept through pilot and scaling decisions
- Experience partnering closely with finance and analytics teams to define impact measurement and decision criteria
- Background building customer experiences that deepen relationships and loyalty
