Concrete & Aggregate Shipper

Reporting to the General Manager, the Concrete & Aggregate Shipper will play a critical part in the delivery of a professional distribution service to our customers; planning a day that meets the requirements of the customers, maximising the day for the fleet and as efficient as possible.

On a day to day basis, the responsibilities of the Concrete & Aggregate Shipper will include the following (not exhaustive):

• Contributing to the success of the team and company by providing the best offer for our customers; enhancing their experience
• Effectively plan and schedule the programme of works; ensuring timely delivery of orders against agreed timeframes
• Managing the day to day deliveries and drivers to ensure they are fully aware of where and who to go to, with any issues communicated
• Monitoring real time progress of scheduled orders allowing you to identify potential problem areas and proactively resolve them effectively
• Providing customers with progress information of deliveries, in particular immediate notification of late loads
• Promoting Cardinalis as a respected supplier of materials in tot he surrounding areas

The ideal candidate for the Concrete & Aggregate Shipper role will have the following skills & experience:

• Thrives on a busy environment where key decisions are made quickly with good communication.
• A knowledge of building materials products is desirable
• Experience within the logistics environment is essential
• High level of customer service, outgoing and a good communicator
