Shipping Clerk

Responsible for verifying parts and documentation, packaging castings to customer specifications, and coordinating shipping activities to ensure accurate and timely deliveries. Maintains a safe, organized work environment and supports general shipping and logistics operations.

Essential Functions

• Verify parts, quantities, serial numbers, and documentation prior to shipment.
• Ensure shipping, inspection, and quality records are accurate and complete.
• Package castings according to customer specifications to prevent shipping damage.
• Prepare packing slips, bills of lading, and other shipping documents.
• Build crates, consolidate loads, and stage orders for shipment.
• Operate forklifts and other equipment to move, load, and unload materials.
• Coordinate shipments, carrier pickups, and special delivery requests.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while following all safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Previous shipping, packaging, warehouse, or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and accurately verify shipping and inspection documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work independently.
• Basic computer skills and experience completing shipping paperwork preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team environment.
• Ability to lift and move materials and work in a manufacturing environment.
• PCC's Forklift Driving Safety Certification must be completed, as assigned. On-the-job training provided.
