Role overview: Coordinate customs clearance through external customs brokers. Coordinate transportation. Develop sustainable relationships with port, air, and ground suppliers. Support other departments in port, air, and ground operations (tank containers, exports, imports).


General Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate domestic and international transportation.
  • Manage air, sea, and land import/export operations, including customs clearance through each customs office to ensure timely final delivery.
  • Oversee customs procedures for import and export clearance
  • Support tariff classification for imported materials
  • Schedule export shipments to ensure on-time customer delivery.
  • Support day-to-day operational needs across different plant areas.


Specific Responsibilities:

  • Monitor customer requirements for urgent material requests.
  • Oversee export shipments, part numbers sent to customers, and shipment weights to prevent oversize issues at border crossings.
  • Prepare waybills for import and export shipments.
  • Review customs documentation such as customs entries, invoices, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
  • Monitor customer deliveries in the U.S.
  • Enter import, export, and freight expense accounts into the system for payment.
  • Drive improvements to import programs and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Apply landed cost calculations for raw materials, including customs expenses for each transaction.
  • Manage the organization's FedEx account.
  • Oversee production line shipments.
  • Ensure accurate invoicing.
