Position Summary:The LCS Logistics Specialist is responsible for executing all aspects of the shipping and receiving process, including accurate handling of incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory integrity, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. This role involves picking and packaging spare parts, operating vertical storage units, processing shipments through carrier portals, and supporting warehouse organization. By combining attention to detail with strong organizational skills, the LCS Logistics Specialist plays a key role in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of parts and maintaining efficient warehouse operations.
Essential Functions:
- Receiving Operations
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Verify shipment contents against purchase orders and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Shipping Operations
- Prepare outgoing shipments by packing items securely and labeling packages appropriately.
- Process shipments using UPS and FedEx portals, ensuring compliance with carrier requirements.
- Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing slips, and customs paperwork.
- Inventory & Warehouse Management
- Assist in maintaining accurate spare parts inventory through regular counts and updates.
- Investigate and resolve stock level discrepancies in collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.
- Maintain organized and efficient storage of inventory, including operation of vertical storage units.
- Equipment Operation & Safety
- Safely operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Comply with all safety protocols, best practices, and quality standards in the shipping/receiving department.
- Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure adherence to all shipping and receiving regulations and company procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments and inventory transactions
- High School diploma, or relevant shipping/receiving experience
- Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Excel, Word)
- Effective communication skills, ability to network, and problem solve
- Organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy packages
- Willing to work flexible hours and overtime if needed
- SAP and Salesforce are preferred
