Logistics and Customs Clearance Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Managing of import/export customs operations for cosmetics and VM materials, including customs compliance, HS classification, declaration requirements, labeling, and regulatory controls, while ensuring compliance with China customs regulations and company policies
• Handling customs clearance exceptions, inspections, and compliance issues, and continuously optimize customs procedures and SOPs
• Coordinating applications for licenses, permits, product filing, and compliance certificates related to cosmetics importation and distribution
• Coordinating with logistics companies for cargo pick up, delivery. Checking of transportation documents

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above, with a minimum of 8 years of customs and trade compliance experience, preferably in cosmetics, retail, fashion, or FMCG industries
• Strong knowledge of China customs regulations, CIQ procedures, bonded trade, HS classification, customs valuation, NMPA regulations, cosmetics registration/filing, labeling requirements, and import/export compliance
• Good English communication skills, both written and spoken
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills, with a strong sense of responsibility
• Knowledge of international freight, list of documents (MSDS, DGD, AWB, BL and etc.)
• Experience of working with DG
