What we're looking for
We are looking for a Logistics Lead for a diverse and meaningful role, responsible for the company’s logistics operations, with a focus on import and export, international shipments, and end-to-end logistics processes.
The role is suitable for a logistics professional with a solid professional foundation and relevant experience, who is looking for an opportunity to grow, make an impact, and professionally manage a team of two employees.
The position involves working with a wide range of internal stakeholders and external suppliers, while maintaining a hands-on approach and overseeing day-to-day logistics operations.
You'll be responsible for
- Manage the company’s day-to-day import and export activities.
- Professionally and operationally manage a logistics team of two employees, including work allocation, task prioritization, training, guidance, and follow-up.
- Manage and coordinate international shipments, including imports, exports, drop shipments, exhibition shipments, and complex shipments.
- Review logistics costs and identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and cost reduction.
- Work closely with Planning, Warehouse, Production, Sales, Marketing, Service, Finance, and other internal stakeholders.
- Provide logistics support and solutions to company employees and customers.
- Manage ongoing relationships with freight forwarders, courier companies, and customs brokers, including obtaining quotations, tracking shipments, and handling exceptions and issues.
- Coordinate customs classification of company products with customs brokers and in accordance with applicable requirements.
- Prepare and review import and export documentation in accordance with destination requirements and applicable regulations.
- Monitor and stay up to date on changes in import and export regulations and requirements, including U.S. import requirements.
- Handle regulatory approvals required for import and export activities.
- Review and approve invoices from freight forwarders and courier companies.
- Prepare periodic reports for company management.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement of day-to-day activities.
- Lead the improvement, implementation, and optimization of logistics processes.
- Handle logistics exceptions and ensure business continuity of logistics operations.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in logistics, import/export, or international shipping.
- Good knowledge of import/export processes and international shipping.
- Experience working with freight forwarders, courier companies, and customs brokers.
- Strong learning ability and willingness to deepen and expand professional knowledge.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize in a dynamic environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience and knowledge working with Priority – a significant advantage.
- Previous experience managing or leading employees – an advantage.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain a broader perspective.
- Proactive approach, strong sense of ownership, and problem-solving skills.
