Terminal Investment Manager

Reporting to the Terminal Investment Director, the Terminal Investment Manager is responsible for the detailed execution and monitoring of business plans for assigned terminals. He/She ensures that the terminals operate in compliance with TiL standards and provides detailed financial and operational analyses to support strategic decision-making. This role requires strong analytical, operational, and stakeholder management skills, with regular travel to terminals within the portfolio.
This full-time position is based in our Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland and the successful candidate is expected to travel frequently to visit the terminals that fall within his/her portfolio.
KEY RESPONSABILITIES
- Implement terminal business plans in line with strategic objectives.
- Monitor daily operational and financial performance of assigned terminals.
- Prepare analyses, performance reports, and recommendations for Deputy and Director.
- Collaborate with terminal management and joint venture partners to resolve operational or financial issues.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes.
- Contribute to process improvements and enhancements in reporting and performance tracking.
- Travel to terminals as required to oversee operations, build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
REQUIRED BACKGROUND AND KNOWLEDGE
- Financial Degree or previous experience in financial roles
- 3-5 years of experience in a senior management role in the container terminal industry.
- Previous experience in a management position of a container terminal is desired.
- Very good knowledge of the stakeholders of the container terminal industry.
- Solid understanding of container terminal operations and the maritime/shipping industry.
- Knowledge of financial and operational performance metrics for terminals.
- Experience with business planning and investment evaluation.
- Proficiency in English & French; additional languages a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Detail-oriented, results-driven, and organized.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel internationally.
