Production Planner

You will be working closely with stakeholders from the Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, and Quality departments to ensure efficient production planning and execution. As Quantum Systems continues to expand its industrial footprint in Romania, your mission will be to synchronize material availability, production capacity, and customer demand while ensuring the on-time delivery of mission-critical systems deployed across Europe and Ukraine.
What is your Day to Day Mission:
- Create and maintain detailed daily, weekly, and monthly production plans for UAV assembly and manufacturing activities.
- Define what products, assemblies, and subassemblies need to be produced, in which sequence, and in what quantities.
- Translate customer demand, delivery commitments, and business priorities into executable production schedules.
- Create production schedules based on Bill of Materials (BOM), Bill of Routing (BOR), material availability, production capacity, and workforce availability.
- Release and communicate production orders and daily priorities to Manufacturing teams.
- Ensure production plans align with routing requirements, workstation capacities, and assembly lead times.
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to address changing priorities, shortages, delays, or production bottlenecks.
- Coordinate closely with Material Planning, Procurement, Warehouse, and Production teams to ensure production readiness.
- Track schedule adherence and production performance against customer delivery targets.
- Identify capacity constraints, material shortages, or routing conflicts that could impact customer deliveries and proactively escalate issues.
- Maintain accurate planning parameters, production routings, and scheduling data within ERP and planning systems.
- Support inventory optimization while ensuring uninterrupted production.
- Collaborate with Global Supply Chain teams to ensure alignment between customer requirements, supply plans, and manufacturing capacity.
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in Production Planning, Production Control, Scheduling, Supply Chain Planning, or Manufacturing Operations.
- Strong understanding of BOM (Bill of Materials) and BOR (Bill of Routing) structures and their role in production scheduling.
- Experience creating and managing detailed production schedules in a manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of manufacturing capacities, work centers, lead times, and routing dependencies.
- Experience working with ERP, MRP, and production planning systems.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to balance customer demand, material availability, routing constraints, and production capacity.
- Experience working closely with Manufacturing, Material Planning, Procurement, and Logistics teams.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Professional fluency in English.
