We are inviting suitably qualified candidates to join our Singapore Airlines Cargo team in Spain as a Cargo Sales Planning Executive.
Job Description
The successful candidate will be part of Singapore Airlines' Cargo Division based in Barcelona, Spain. As a Cargo Sales Planning Executive, you will support cargo sales planning, capacity optimisation, and revenue management activities across assigned European markets.
You will play a key role in maximising cargo revenue and yield performance through effective capacity planning, booking management, pricing coordination, and market analysis. The role requires close collaboration with headquarters, regional stations, sales teams, and operational stakeholders to ensure optimal utilisation of cargo capacity on flights between Europe and Singapore.
You will also support customer servicing activities, provide booking and rate solutions, and ensure timely handling of shipment-related queries while maintaining high standards of accuracy and responsiveness.
Key Responsibilities
1. Revenue & Sales Planning
• Support achievement of assigned cargo revenue targets across European markets
• Analyse revenue performance by destination region and cargo vertical to support commercial decision-making
• Contribute to yield improvement initiatives while maintaining market competitiveness
• Identify opportunities for revenue optimisation through pricing and capacity adjustments
2. Capacity & Load Factor Management
• Monitor and optimise cargo capacity on flights ex-Madrid (MAD) and Barcelona (BCN) to Singapore
• Allocate space to agents and stations in line with commercial priorities and capacity constraints
• Analyse booking trends and load factors to support capacity planning decisions
• Support improvement of overall European hub load factors and aircraft utilisation
3. Reservations & Booking Management
• Process and manage cargo bookings accurately in line with operational requirements
• Ensure high booking accuracy and minimal manual correction rates
• Provide alternative routing, capacity, and product solutions to customers when required
• Support digitalisation of booking processes and promote efficient use of e-channel platforms
4. Customer Service & Relationship Management
• Handle customer and agent inquiries related to rates, bookings, and shipment status
• Ensure timely response and resolution of tracking and service-related cases
• Support key account engagement and participate in regular business reviews
• Maintain and update customer data within CRM systems to ensure data integrity
5. Pricing, Data & Market Analysis
• Analyse market trends, booking data, and competitor activity to support pricing strategies
• Maintain accuracy of published rates and ensure timely implementation of rate updates
• Produce weekly and monthly performance reports for Cargo Management
• Deliver actionable insights to support commercial planning and revenue initiatives
6. Operations & Administrative Support
• Coordinate shipment monitoring and ensure timely updates across the logistics chain
• Support irregular operations and crisis management activities when required
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures across booking, pricing, and reporting processes
• Undertake additional tasks or projects assigned by Cargo Management
Requirements
• Must have the right to work and live in Spain
• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline or equivalent relevant experience
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
• Strong understanding of cargo operations, capacity planning, or logistics is an advantage
• Experience in aviation, freight forwarding, or supply chain industry is preferred
• Strong communication skills in English and Spanish (additional languages an advantage)
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong customer focus with a solution-oriented mindset
• High level of accuracy in data handling, booking, and reporting
• Flexibility to support operational requirements, including shift or ad-hoc duties if required
