What You'll Do
- Actively supports and complies with Pelican’s objectives, guidelines and commitment to Quality and Safety, with an emphasis on continual improvement.
- Must be able to interact effectively and cooperatively with employees at all levels
- Must have the ability to complete assignments within required timelines
- Must be flexible regarding working hours and overtime, including evenings and weekends as needed
- Must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 40 pounds occasionally
- This role requires repetitive hand and wrist activity
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 2+ years of shipping or logistics experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of shipping documentation, inventory processes, and picking/packing procedures.
- Basic math skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to follow documented procedures and maintain accurate records.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Ability to operate a stand-up forklift or willingness to become certified.
- Working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems is a plus.
- Experience with domestic and international shipping is a plus.
- Understanding of customs requirements, Lean, Six Sigma, or ISO environments is a plus.
- Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm Eastern Time
