Role Description The European Road Freight Operator is a full-time, on-site role based in Dublin. This position is responsible for planning and coordinating road freight movements across Europe, including scheduling collections and deliveries, booking transport, and monitoring shipment progress. The role involves managing transport documentation, handling customs-related information, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company procedures. The operator will communicate daily with customers, carriers, and internal teams to provide updates, resolve issues, and maintain service quality. The role also includes cost checking, data entry into internal systems, and supporting continuous improvement in operational processes.
Salary - 35k -44K, depending on experience

- Candidates should possess strong Communication skills to liaise effectively with customers, carriers, and colleagues.
- Candidates should possess Operations Management skills to plan routes, schedule shipments, and manage daily transport activities.
- Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to handle inquiries, manage expectations, and resolve issues professionally.
- Candidates should possess Freight and Supply Chain Management skills to understand transport processes, documentation, and end-to-end logistics flows.
- Previous experience in road freight forwarding or transport operations within Europe is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work accurately under time pressure, with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in standard office software and transport management systems; additional European language skills are an advantage.
- Relevant education in logistics, supply chain, or a related field is preferred but equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
