Job Summary:

The incumbent in this role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of shipping operations, ensuring that exports shipments are handled efficiently, on time, and in compliance with regulations. Reporting to Director Distribution Management, the incumbent manages all exports related logistics activitiy and coordinates with key stakeholders (Internal & Distributors) to ensure smooth operations and ensuring all Distributors Orders are shipped on time with full compliance to all applicable regulations. This role is vital for maintaining GMG’s commitment to timely deliveries, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence in the export sales process.

Job Description:

Coordinate daily shipping operations, including managing schedules, tracking shipments, and ensuring that all export sales meet delivery timelines.

Oversee the preparation of shipping documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with international trade regulations and company policies.

Update Director - Distribution Management & Sr BDM on Shipments status (Including Production readiness, payment update and shipping schedule & SAP invoicing)

Work closely with Sr BDM to reconcile Distributors SOA and coordinate with Distributors & Internal Finance Team to maintain uptodate SOA for all Distributors.

Monitor inventory levels, collaborating with the supply chain team to ensure products are available and ready for dispatch.

Work closely with freight forwarders and logistics partners to negotiate contracts, optimize shipping routes, and secure cost-effective

solutions.

Manage any delays or issues that arise in the shipping process, identifying solutions to maintain efficient delivery schedules.

Conduct regular audits on shipping processes, ensuring all standards are met, and assist in resolving claims or disputes related to

shipments.

Provide regular updates to management on shipping performance, metrics, and cost-efficiency, and use SAP ERP to track and document logistics activities.

Play a role in process improvement, identifying areas to enhance efficiency in export logistics and contributing to GMG’s strategic goals in the international market.

Functional / Technical competencies

Comprehensive knowledge of shipping and logistics processes, particularly in export operations, to manage complex international shipments effectively.

Proficiency in SAP ERP is essential for tracking shipping data, managing inventory levels, and documenting logistics operations.

Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, documentation, and customs requirements to ensure full compliance.

Excellent problem-solving skills are required to address delays or issues swiftly, minimizing disruptions to delivery schedules.

Strong negotiation skills to secure cost-effective shipping rates and excellent communication abilities to coordinate with internal teams and external partners.
