Position: Operations Executive

Compensation: AED25,000 to 28,000 plus statutory benefits & variable

Location: Dubai, UAE

Overview

Gateworth are currently supporting a client who are looking to recruit an Operations Executive, reporting to the Chief of Operations, to ensure that scheduling and day-to-day operations run smoothly across their trading platforms and logistics operators.

Main Responsibilities

• Working closely with traders, manage cargo movements, create schedules and nominations based on the supply and demand plan.
• Establish good working relationships with counterparties, alongside internal and external stakeholders.
• Issue, review and/or trade confirmations, contracts and/or letters of credit.
• Liaise with inspectors, agents, ship brokers, trade counterparties, storage terminals and internal departments to ensure smooth physical operations meeting statutory regulations and availability of quality certificates and test samples.
• Invoice customers and oversee the payment of suppliers/service providers.
• Assist with KYC and counterparty registration.
• Consolidating tender invitations, sending reminders to respective trading desks and recording all bids, offers and information known.

Qualifications & Prerequisites

• Crude oil and/or product operations experience is required.
• Bi-lingual (Chinese and English) language skills, with the ability to correspond with international counterparties and banks.
• Willing and able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Mature, independent, self-motivated and a team player.
• A minimum of 3 years of trade operations experience with in the energy sector and/or commodities industry.
• Preferably able to start work immediately or on short notice.
