Senior Logistics Officer

The Senior Logistics Officer is responsible for coordinating and overseeing day-to-day logistics operations, ensuring the efficient and cost-effective movement of products, inventory, and materials. The role supports supply chain activities by managing transportation, import/export processes, freight coordination, regulatory compliance, and logistics projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor daily logistics operations across the GCC to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
• Support the planning, execution, and monitoring of inbound and outbound shipments.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and transportation providers to ensure smooth logistics operations.
• Monitor transportation performance, delivery quality, and logistics costs, recommending improvements where necessary.
• Calculate customs duties, taxes, and shipping costs for various product categories.
• Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and support the application and renewal of regulatory licenses across the GCC.
• Support logistics activities related to new store openings, events, product launches, and expansion into new markets.
• Assist in implementing logistics process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
• Prepare routine and ad hoc logistics reports, KPIs, and performance analyses for management.
• Maintain accurate logistics records, shipping documentation, and inventory movement reports.
• Coordinate with internal departments including Procurement, Warehouse, Retail Operations, Finance, and Sales to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
• Monitor freight forwarder performance and support negotiations on service levels and pricing.
• Ensure logistics processes comply with company policies and operational requirements.
• Assist in developing and updating logistics policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Support supply chain projects and other operational initiatives as assigned.
• Provide guidance and support to junior logistics staff and assist with onboarding and process training when required.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain operations, preferably within the luxury retail or retail industry.
• Strong knowledge of GCC logistics operations, customs procedures, and import/export regulations.
• Experience coordinating with freight forwarders, shipping companies, and customs authorities.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and logistics reporting.
• Experience working with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics AX.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
